2014 – what a year!

I usually don’t do yearly recaps, but since Im entering the 10th year of blogging in 2015, I figured there’s no better time to start than now ;)

So I stole some 2014 questions from one of my favourite Swedish blogs: NiotillFem

Describe the year in three words:
Busy, Challenging and Rewarding.

Did you do anything in 2014 that you’ve never done before?

orsii fogashaz 1I DJ-ed in Budapest

Orsi at 14KMI trained for and ran a marathon!

CelebrationsI spent Midsummer in Aberdeen

Orsii Thumbs Up! GraduationI got a Masters Degree in Music Industries!

Orsii JamaicaI went to Jamaica

Orsii djing at alibiI started a bi-monthly club night at The Alibi with Jazzman Records

What was your greatest success in 2014?
Getting a 1st class MA Degree was probably my greatest success in 2014. But I would say that training for the Copenhagen marathon and completing it was the proudest moment. Not only because of my bad knee, but also because of the dedication I put into the whole process (whilst still trying to complete my MA!) without giving up on myself.

Did something make you REALLY happy?
Spending quality time with my friends and family, especially the various trips we made all over the world to be together. Oh and that my best friend engaged and asked me to be her MOH!

And REALLY sad?
When I acted like a drunken fool and hurt the person I love the most.

Were you happier or more sad in 2014 compared to the previous year?
DEFINITELY HAPPIER! My god, 2013 was such a SHIT YEAR compared to 2014!

What made you feel good?
Believe it or not but marathon training made me feel good. And also the fact that I was a bit less harsh on myself when it came to setbacks in various plots and plans. Oh and having my own place was just the best! Not that renting is bad, but man! Nothing beats living in a home that you own and have control over (even when stuff goes wrong!)

Room looking better

What do you wish you would’ve done more of?
Run more after the marathon. Even though I started weightlifting 3-4 times a week, I somehow feel that I was my fittest and healthiest when I ran a bit more. Definitely spent more time with my friends and family. Gone out more to various events or just in general here in London. Oh and as always, done more radio and blogging.

What do you wish you would’ve done less of?
Worrying about my finances and my future. Wasting time doing pointless stuff like browsing the internet for hours without achieving anything.

Was there something you missed in 2014 that you want to have in 2015?
More money and better health – or at least better health ;)

And that’s about it! How about you guys? Was 2014 a good or bad year for you?
