Bank holiday weekend in Sweden

Flew home for 48 hours over the bank holiday weekend to celebrate the birthday of my amazing granny who turned 79. I really needed the kind of cuddles and proper belly laughs that only she can give me.

Summer was in the air throughout my entire visit and I couldn’t really go home without a quick visit to my favourite spot on the beach and say hello to Turning Torso. Oh Malmö <3

I even managed to convince mum to go out on a run with me :) She complained a lot, but we had fun in the end and ran around 8km in total so a great effort. I need to get her in shape so we can run another half marathon again.

We also celebrated Mother’s Day on the Sunday as Sweden has a different date to the one they have UK. We decided to treat granny to a dinner of her choice, whilst I had gotten mum a little gift from the airport.

No matter how long I stay, my visits are always too short. This time especially, but I’m happy I went because any time I can spend with them is both time and money well spent. I miss them so much…
