A Spanish Getaway

Despite suffering from a minor chest infection, it was nice to get away from London for a few days. I might have taken this place a little bit for granted last summer whilst visiting for the first time, but honestly, the more time I spend here, the more I’m convinced that I’ll never get tired of this view!

I’d also forgotten how liberating it feels to have access to a car and to be able to drive around without having to rely on public transport. We decided to go on a mini adventure one of the days to explore a close by seaside town.

We had a lovely stroll around the old part of town and enjoyed an aperitif in the sunshine by the sea. Then before heading back home we somehow managed (by luck!) to get a table at what seemed to be one of the most popular restaurants in the area. I had a fish soup that was divine – really wish I could eat more seafood here in the UK!

All in all, a great long weekend spent in the company of two of my favourite people. Not sure what I’ve done to deserve them but thanking my lucky stars every day that I have them in my life. Can’t wait until we’re reunited again in June!
