Some needed friend-time and sunshine

It’s been a pretty stressful start to 2019 so when my close friend Anna invited us over for a lowkey dinner, I knew that this weekend would end up being amazing.

I love many things about Anna, but the fact that she considers a three course dinner with bottomless Cava something that’s just a ‘regular relaxed Saturday dinner at home’ is definitely up there in the top 3 things I love the most :)

By some miracle we ended up having amazing weather all day Sunday, so we decided to go on a long walk around the area and soak up as much sun as possible.

What a difference some very needed Vitamin D can make to your overall mood! I genuinely can’t wait for Spring now…

Happy 2019 from Torino

I flew over to Italy to see my better half and ring in the new year with his family and friends.

As you can see on the pictures, the weather was absolutely amazing for my entire stay and we went on some mini adventures both in the city itself and in the countryside around the Alba / Barolo area.

I’ve said it many times before, but I really am so incredibly lucky to have such a loving and caring and thoughtful extended family. Every visit fills my heart with joy (and belly with phenomenal food). I hope that maybe one day we can get a little cottage on the countryside so I can become buddies with all the local nonnas and learn how to cook the most fantastic food!
