Morning!

Sorry for being so quiet. It has been way too hot for me to put together my thoughts into sentences. Friday was a sad day, Im not going to go into all the details of how much Michael Jackson’s music meant to me, but may he rest in peace. Domu wrote a very interesting blog about the cult of celebrity that I think you should check out, many mixes here and there have been popping up, one I saw in my melting state in the office was DJ Premier’s MJ tribute mix (although I haven’t had a listen yet).

Friday evening after work was spent in the park with a couple of beers with my friend Nic, who really cheered me up after my rather upset and sad mood I was in all day. I then went home to finally have an early friday night and was surprised with some nice dinner and a glass of wine that Nat made for us girls.

Saturday was spent in the park with Jason, we managed to have 2 bottles of wine and some fruit salad before the thunderstorm came, and we went back to my house for shelter and another 2 bottles haha. It was a very random but funny evening. I was cooking chicken kiev’s and hungarian spinach “stew” around 11pm at night, which actually turned out very delicious and I was rather proud of myself.

Most of sunday was spent at Vibe bar down Brick Lane with Nic. I met him around 3pm and we were meant to have a chilled and relaxing day, just having some drinks in the heat and listening to the tunes provided by Dom.  However, the heat wasn’t really helping us keeping sober, and around 6pm we ran into Vish and his friend who was down as well. We managed to convince Ravi to come down, and somewhere in between the drinks, the great music, all the laughter and the various conversation topics, we lost track of time, had a bit of a boogie and ended up leaving around 11.30pm.

All in all, a very random but wicked weekend. This week I need to take it easy and really start saving my pennies for when I have to move. Going to Bristol with Dave to visit Neil, Ina and John this weekend. Found out they are have a carnival (which is kind of like a mini Notting Hill carnival) this weekend, so talk about good timing! Hopefully the nice weather will stick around for a little longer, maybe I’ll even come back with a tan.

Right, I think it is shower then work time for me! I hope you all have had a lovely weekend. I am in the process of cooking something together for you. Can’t really reveal what it is just yet, but hopefully it will turn out to be something you like. Have a nice day! x
