So I’m sitting on the bus hating on pretty much everything, especially the weather when this comment drops in to my previous post:

“Hey man, I think it’s best not to try and compare yourself to others (easier said than done!). I’ve been in that position where you look up to some people and then look down on others, it’s not a productive mindset. We’ve all been indoctrinated to compete with other people, it starts in school where we’re taught to compete with our class mates. That stuff is all bullshit. Life isn’t a competition, never has been, never will be. Anyways, take it easy

First of all, Saes, thanks for dropping by, as always, I really appreciate it. Second of all, you’re right. I know I shouldn’t compare myself to others, but I can’t help it. At times it motivates me to strive to become better. Some other times, like yesterday, it makes me want to give up on it all.

But today is a new day, and your comment cheered me up. So thank you, I think I needed that.
