Good evening my friends,
I hope you have had a nice day. I am typing this from the bus on my way home. It’s been a long day and I can’t wait to get home to an empty house, put on some comfy clothes, have a glass of wine, curl up on one of the massive sofas in the lounge, and start putting together next weeks radio show.
It’s been a very hectic and stressful 1,5 month with a lot of things happening, and I think all the madness is slowly catching up with me.
As you might know I was ill a couple of weeks ago, and even though I’m not throwing up anymore, I think my stomach is suffering from all the unintential stress that I seem to be putting it through. I think I need to go back to the doctor and make sure they take a lot more tests because I don’t know how much longer I can carry on with this.
The people who know me and those of you who have been following the blog know that I have some kind of weird illness with my stomach, an illness that I’ve had since I was very young, and an illness that doctors haven’t been able to diagnose for over 15 years now…
If I’m honest with you, I’m just tired. I’m tired of almost always being in pain, of being bloated, of going up & down in weight, of all these mood swings and depressions and various mental tricks this illness is playing on my mind.
I’m starting to think that I’m having a split personality caused by all this. The happy, smiley, confident Orsi who enjoys life, and the sad, insecure, depressed Orsi who just wants to hide from the world because she doesn’t think she is good enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, the list can be made endless.
And it makes me so angry because I don’t want to be like the latter one. I don’t want to wake up every morning and hate the person that is looking back at me in the mirror. But unfortunitely this person appears at least twice a year, and I feel so powerless since I can’t control her and I can’t prepare myself for her return, it just happens from one day to another.
Or maybe I’m just fooling myself, maybe it has nothing to do with my stomach, maybe it’s all in my head… I don’t know.
But what I do know is that this journey is taking way too long, and I might burst into tears any second, so I better put my phone away and just focus on the music playing in my headphones.
Sorry for the random rant and for being in a weird mood. Tomorrow is a new day, that hopefully will be better. Much love! x
New single from the amazingly talented Speech Debelle.

I cried a little tear or two when I found out, much love! xxx

I am so proud to present this great preview/free download of JtotheC – A Man And His Funk EP. I downloaded it as soon as I got in to work and it has been on repeat ever since, I absolutely LOVE IT! Much respect to On-Point for treating us to this great 3 track teaser, I cant wait to see the mini-documentary that will drop sometime next week on their website and to hear rest of the songs! For those of you who do not know who JtotheC is, here is a little introduction:
J to the C, (spoken: Jay Cee), is Jonas Casier, born aquarius 1980 in Roeselare (Belgium). Playing at home with a microkorg, a simple drumset, a microphone, a set of turntables and a funky mind resulted in making songs of his own.
Starting out as a hiphop dj together with Alex Deforce, he got eager to train his scratching-skills on the two turntables. Playing music intensively got him to singing along with it, so he did in several jamsessions at de Kreun (Bissegem, BE) in 2002, with artists such as Peter Lesage, Karel De Backer and Yannick Uyttenhove. All that cutting and scratching resulted him joining DJ Grazzhoppa’s DJ Bigband in 2005, and later on got him featured on 2 tracks on Billy Palmier’s debut album Urban Palmtree Flavours.
During the jamsessions of the dj bigband, he got the chance to jam along artist such as Stijn, Jef Neve, Fabrizio Cassol, Michel Hatzigeorgiou, Stéphane Galland, Erwin Vann, Laurent Blondieu, Monique Harcum, Bart Maris, and many, many others, and playing in countries all over Europe with the DJ Bigband, on festivals such as Roskilde (DK), Lowlands (NL), Jazz Middelheim (BE), .
Singing “Never Satisfied” on his myspace, got him a track on the Kid Sublime album “Rappin Blak”. Starting his own funky formation called the Bad Mothas in 2008, starring members of The Brothers On The Run, doing impressive all-night-long type of jams, resulting in catchy shit, funky shit. The shiznit.
Meeting up with Incksalonious from Brooklyn in 2009, after she gets in the studio with Jay Cee in Kortrijk, it gets him going to NYC, to do a gig with her in Brooklyn, New York !!!
Next to all of that, JtotheC is still touring through-out the Belgian massive as one half of dj duo Vic&lloyd, together with long-time compadre Alex D. tearing roofs off and blowing up spots and afterparties throughout the country.
Now make sure you download this funkalicious and fresh EP, you wont regret it I promise! Enjoy my friends!

Enjoy my friends, this is perfect music for the Autumn weather that as swept over London. Much love! x
Good morning my friends!
I still don’t have access to internet at home, and my fingers have been itching all weekend to write, so I downloaded the wordpress app for my phone, hopefully it won’t look weird when I publish it all (yes I’m a bit sceptical…)
Anyway, it’s been a very relaxed weekend. Seeing as I now officially only have £4.28 on my account until I get my frickin deposit back, there is not much I can do… So yesterday I spent enjoying the sun in the garden, started on some new mixes, watched some TV and David came around to spend his first official night in the house. All in all, a pretty laid back day.
Oh and speaking of Laid Back, I’m rather nervous about my show airing tomorrow… I don’t know if people will like it or not, hopefully they will, but yes. People have been so supportive and I just don’t want to let anybody down. I guess only time can tell if people will like it or not, so I’m gonna go and make myself a coffee.
Much love! x

These pictures made me cry a little this morning… God I miss my girls from back home in Sweden. We used to have so much fun back in the day, and now we are all spread out in the world, which is nice, but I haven’t seen this crazy bunch for over a year! I think we need to plan a party weekend in London! Ill have enough space in my new house. Love and miss you so much! x
Good evening!
Hope you’re all well and enjoying the weekend. I got home half an hour ago and managed to swallow a hole bag of microwave popcorn in 15 minutes… Now I am enjoying a glass of wine and trying to organise my life. It has been one of the most stressful days ever. I am exhausted and it feels like I haven’t slept for weeks!
As some of you might know, I am meant to be moving this weekend. But we have been having problems with the money transactions due to the stupid way the banks operate here in England, and also because of the fact that our new estate agents don’t take cash AND seem reluctant to let us move in this weekend. The whole situation is really stressing me out as we need to hand over our place Tuesday morning, and if we cant move this weekend, I have to take a day off work Monday, and obviously move into new place as well as clean this place on the same day… But enough about that!
Apart from the moving madness it looks like I have a very busy, but extremely exciting Autumn ahead of me. I am in preparations of launching my own show on Laid Back Radio which I am overly excited about. The whole Laid Back crew are such an amazing group of people, and I feel so blessed and privileged to be able to get involved with them. I don’t think there are enough words and love in the world that can express how I feel about it. I promise to keep you in the loop of things when it comes to the show. Obviously, I have never done a radio show before, so I have a big learning curve ahead of me, but I am hoping you will all tune in and kind of grow & learn with me, seeing as ultimately, I am doing it as much for you guys as I am doing it for myself. (one Love…)
And if the show, my normal job, and this move wasn’t enough to keep me busy, I have also been asked to be involved in a very special project. I don’t really want to give away too many details, as Im not sure how much I am allowed to say & share at the moment. But that is also another amazing thing that I feel extremely lucky to be part of. So yeah, stay tuned as I will reveal all of it in due time.
In addition to all this, I am also planning a trip over to Brussels that will hopefully take place in October so I can see my Belgian fam. Will be great to see the peeps from On-Point, Onda Sonora, Laid Back, catch up with Lefto, and of course, get the opportunity to meet some new interesting people. Actually, I have to give mad props and love to all of you from Belgium who tunes in and reads this blog. You have passed my home countries Sweden AND Hungary/Romania in terms of visitors. I am genuinely thrilled to be going over and check out the scene. It seems like an amazing place (no matter what Bart says haha) and you all seem like such lovely people. So yeah, THANK YOU for reading and for visiting, it truly means so much to me.
Right, I should get back to recording my show… Hope you’re having a great evening. Much love! x
Hello my friends!
So sorry for the poor updates recently, I have been overly busy and due to the bank holiday, this week has pretty much disappeared. However, I felt like I needed to show some extra love to the peeps over at MOOVMNT, Laid Back, and On-Point.

In collaboration with Nalden, the guys over at MOOVMNT put together a great mix called “The Afterthought” after holding an event called Beat Battle at the Rooms of Red Bull . To find out more about the event and to get the tracklist, head over to the MOOVMENT website. I really recommend you all to download it!
Another great little mix from this week is the “New Your Flavor” one posted by the guys over at Laid Back Radio. To tune in and to get the tracklist, simply use the player below.
And as if these nice little treats weren’t enough to keep a little gal like me happy, I also want to share this great interview and video with Henrik Schwarz that the lovely people over at On-Point posted this week. Make sure you check them out, and don’t forget to have a look at the video too!
That’s all from me for now, hope you enjoy the tunes & the interview. Have a wonderful Thursday! Much love!
